2022 is just around the corner, and with the new year comes plenty of new trends. What 2022 hair trends are worth the hype? We’ve got answers. Keep reading for our favorite women’s hair trends for 2022.

The Best 2022 Hair Trends

2022 hair color trends

1. Warm Tones

After years of cool-toned hair, warmth will be back in a big way in 2022. Blondes can opt for buttery and golden shades, while brunettes can try warm chocolate browns. Do you prefer red hair? Fiery coppers will also be in. If you have black hair, try mahogany highlights.

Another way to embrace this 2022 hair color trend is by asking your hairstyle for warm mid-highlights. Mid-highlights are a shade between bright highlights and your natural hair color, which will add warmth and dimension to your hair.

2. Heavy Layers

In 2021, we saw a return to layers with the wolf cut and the shag. In 2022, we’ll get our layer fix with 90s-inspired heavy layers a la “The Rachel”. This hairstyle works with many hair textures but will require you to use a blow-dryer and a round brush to style.

Since this 2022 hair trend pretty much requires heat styling, you’ll also want to invest in a good heat protectant to prevent damage. To get this 2022 hair trend, ask your hairstylist for gradual face-framing layers and a blowout.

3. Healthy Hair

Shiny, healthy hair in natural-looking hues will be popular in 2022. To get this look, ask your hairstylist for a gloss to give your hair a healthy luster. Make sure to incorporate regular deep conditioning treatments into your hair routine to keep your locks in tip-top condition.

And of course, consider taking a hair growth supplement like Viviscal Hair Growth† Supplements. Viviscal promotes healthy hair growth from the inside for gorgeous hair on the outside. The combination of AminoMarTM plus key vitamins and minerals in Viviscal is scientifically proven to nourish thinning hair and promote existing hair growth*.

4. Center Parts

Center parts are having a moment right now. If you’ve been a long-time side part enthusiast, switching to a center part is an easy way to update your look without visiting the hair salon.

5. Bangs

Another easy way to update your hair in 2022 is with bangs. No, a full fringe isn’t necessary. But soft, textured bangs can flatter your face shape and make your hair look thicker to boot. Just beware: bangs tend to get greasy fast, especially if you have fine, thin, or straight hair. Make sure you keep a dry shampoo or texturizing spray on hand if you try this 2022 hair trend.

6. Natural Texture

More and more, we are seeing people embracing their natural textures. Whether your hair is straight, fluffy, frizzy, curly, or coily, 2022 will be a great year to let your natural texture shine.

To make the most of your natural hair texture, ask your hairstyle for a haircut that will be flattering for your hair without styling it. Shags, lobs, and fringes will be great for this 2022 hair trend.

7. Gray Hair

Speaking of natural hair, gray hair will continue to be a big trend in 2022. And we’re not talking about coloring your hair gray. During the lockdown, many women opted to grow out their natural grays. If you want to grow out your grays gracefully, ask your hairstyle to add highlights to blend the line of demarcation (the line between your colored hair and natural hair color).

8. Braids

Another low-maintenance hairstyle we’ll see in 2022 is braids. While braids require plenty of time to style (expect to be at the salon for at least a few hours), we love that they require very little maintenance in between trips to the salon. Box braids and intricate cornrows will especially be popular for curly or coily hair.

9. Periwinkle Hair

Pantone’s 2022 color of the year is Very Peri, a playful pastel that’s halfway between blue and purple. We predict that periwinkle hair will be a big trend in 2022! If you want to try periwinkle hair but don’t want to fully commit (after all, bleaching your hair to prepare for a bright color can be very damaging), this look can also be achieved with the help of a wig or spray-in hair color.

holiday makeup collection set

As the holiday season approaches, we all want to reconnect with family and friends and celebrate. With our new Dazzle and Shine collection you have so many options for the holiday season whether you’re entertaining out or at home.

Dazzle & Shine24K Gold Dust

This holiday makeup collection sethas one of my all-time favorite products — 24 Karat Gold Dust. It adds the perfect amount of shimmer to any eye or cheek look, and you can even pop it on your lips. The mica is perfectly milled so it will refract light and not accentuate lines. Some are afraid to add shimmer to their makeup routine, especially those with aging skin, but no worries here! Try adding a pop of 24k Gold Dust to make any eye shine. Minerals love to play with light and if they are properly applied, they make the skin look even better.

The three options are great for all skin tones too, and each shade will bring out your eye color as well. The Gold is great for all eye colors, the Champagne for blue/green eyes, and Bronze looks especially good on hazel and deeper darker eyes.

There are so many options for 24K Gold Dust shimmer makeup! Check out the blog here for other ways to use it.

Dazzle & Shine Magic Mitt

To take off your holiday look at the end of your event, you can’t go wrong with the new limited addition Purple Magic Mitt. This microfiber mitt with a little warm water will lift and remove all your makeup. I call it my lazy girl makeup remover! Quick and easy, it even removes mascara. (These are great gifts for teachers, coworkers, and even family.)

Dazzle & Shine Eye Shadow Kit

This palette has 4 matte shades and 4 shimmer shades to let you create a soft, muted look, or go full glam with bold color. You can always mix it up and use matte and shimmer together. I love the deeper options in this palette for eyeliners as well. Just wet your favorite brush with your Hydration Spray of choice (I would recommend either D2O or POMMISST Mist) and dip into shade you’d like to use as a liner.

2021 holiday makeup look

There are so many options with this palette, but here are a few of my favorite applications:

For a soft, natural eye

  1. ApplyProsecco all over the lid from lash line to brow bone.
  2. With the crease brush apply Cider in the crease.
  3. Pop either Rose or Ginger Beer right on the lid, above the apple of your eye, and blend.
  4. You can use Hot Cocoa as your liner.

For a bumped-up look

  1. Apply Rose with your Eye Shader brush from your lash line to your crease and blend.
  2. Apply Cranberry Punch or Hot Toddy to your crease, using the Crease Brush.
  3. With your large shader brush, apply Prosecco to your brow bone.
  4. Finish off the eye with an Eye Pencil or Mystikol for a soft smoky lash line.

For a fun evening out, get a little smokey

  1. Apply Amethyst Mystikol with the Camouflage Brush from lash line to crease and blend it out (it should be sheer).
  2. With the Crease brush, apply Mulled wine right on top of the Mystikol and blend.
  3. Take your Eye contour brush and apply Cranberry Punch to the outer third of the eye and blend into the crease.
  4. Apply Dark Topaz or Black Onyx Mystikol to your lash line and smudge Hot Cocoa on top of the Mystikol and smoke out the top and bottom lash line.
  5. You can add a little 24K Gold dust in whatever shade you want to bring a little more shimmer to your smoky eye.

Don’t forget to finish off all of these looks with our NEW Beyond Lash Mascara!

Dazzle & Shine Lip Gloss Kit

Finally, the mini limited addition HydroPure Hyaluronic Lip Gloss. Pair them with your favorite lip liner, Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain or even our Triple Luxe Lipsticks. All three shades have a hint of shimmer but all the lip loving ingredients to hydrate your lips through the cold wintery months. They fit perfectly in a pocket or evening bag too!

Some great combo options:

  • Pair Triple Luxe in Ella or Joanna with Aubergine Lip liner and top with Cassis
  • Spice or Nude Lip liner goes beautifully with Triple Luxe Lipstick in Molly when topped with Sheer
  • Try Classic Red Lip Liner with Gwen Triple Luxe Lipstick (or Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Red) with Lambrusco

Enjoy this wonderful collection have a beautiful time creating amazing holiday makeup looks while making some amazing memories.
