Classic Queen Gold

With many new designs of ladies’ gold necklaces flooding the market, you may find that the original and the basic designs usually prove to be the most timeless. This is what makes this gold necklace with two adjoining globes decorated and floral cut-out motifs a favourite.

The cable chain makes this ladies’ gold necklace super elegant and versatile. This classic piece can be styled with an elegant silk saree for that classic Indian look.

How To Wear Ladies Gold Necklaces

You may have seen women styling ladies’ gold necklaces in various ways depending on their personal style and the current trends. Is there a look you really liked and want to try out for yourself? If yes, we have some ideas for you.

After being hidden away in thick socks for months, my feet are super pale at the start of sandal season every year. Throwing on a little nail polish is the quickest and cutest way to make them look a little less ghostly! And while I’m painting my toe nails, it just makes good sense to do my fingers too, you know?

I usually just paint one color and call it a day, but then I found this inexpensive and easy-to-use dot tool that lets you add fun designs to your nails even if you have shaky hands! I decided to do a nude and metallic daisy for my first nail look of the season, and it couldn’t have been easier to pull off. People have literally been grabbing my hands and asking where I got them done!

–nude, white and gold nail polish
–nail dotting tool

Start by painting an opaque layer of nude polish. It took a few coats for my nails to really look like the color in the bottle.

Once the nude polish is fully dry, use the small end of the dot tool to add white daisy centers. I dipped the tool right into the polish bottle, and then dotted away! Start with just a little polish on the tool until you get a sense of how much you need—the tool is pretty forgiving and you can go over the dots a second time if they aren’t big or bold enough. Use the large end of the tool to add your petal dots!

And that’s it! The tool is so simple to use. This look only took a couple minutes longer than painting one color nails. I’ve never gotten so many questions/compliments about my nails—I can’t imagine ever painting plain nails again! Next time I want to make little sunflowers on a white background. What designs would you add to your nails? xo, Kayleigh

Easy Gold Stripe Nail Tutorial

I am always on the lookout for pretty-yet-easy nail tutorials because, well, I guess I’m just usually more of a simple gal when it comes to my nails! I love a lot of elaborate things in other categories, but I usually like a less-is-more approach when it comes to manicures. I saw a picture of some pretty polished nails sporting some thin gold stripes and I thought that nail tape would be the perfect way to replicate the look and it’s waaaay easier than trying to freehand those tiny stripes with a brush! Supplies:
-thin gold nail tape
-nude or light pink nail polish
–top coat
-sharp nail scissors or small sewing scissors
–cuticle oil (optional)
Paint your nails with two coats of your favorite nail polish (the one I used is a 5-free polish!) with dry time between each coat.Cut a strip of your gold nail tape that is about 1″ long and place it 1/3 of the way up from your middle nail and let it hang over the edge.Use your nail scissor (or even nail clippers!) to cut off the overhang and press the tape down firmly in place. Cut another 1″ long piece across your nail where the first vertical piece ends and trim the overhang with scissors. It’s better to cut off a little too much than too little since a strip hanging over the edge will get caught on clothing or pull away more easily.Repeat the process but reverse the placement on the ring finger nail and then do simple horizontal lines on the rest of your fingers about 1/3 of the way up the nail.Repeat on the other hand, give your tape pieces all a firm press again and then finish with 2-3 top coats with dry time in between.Once your topcoat is dry, add a thin layer of cuticle oil and take your new nails out on the town!So simple but I just love how the end result turned out! If you want your manicure to last a little longer, place your strips into your polish while the top layer is still the tiniest bit tacky. Do a different design on the middle finger as strips that end out towards the open end of the nail seem to be the ones that want to peel first, since they touch the most things as we use our hands throughout the day. I think this is a really pretty special occasion nail as well, so keep this in mind if you want a little something extra for a night out soon! xo. Laura

Gold Stud Manicure DIY – A Beautiful Mess

Gold Stud Manicure DIY (click through for tutorial) Most of the time I’m a pretty simple manicure kind of gal. I usually do my own nails, so going to a salon for a manicure is always a big treat for me. Here in Nashville there’s a natural nail salon called Poppy + Monroe that Elsie and I love (Emma’s been there too!). The last time I went, I got this awesome gold stud pattern done on each nail and I just thought it was the prettiest nail trend that I’ve seen lately. Since not everyone is lucky enough to get to go to our favorite place, I thought I’d show you how you can add some bling to your own nails at home no matter where you live!

Gold Stud Manicure DIY (click through for tutorial)Supplies:
-nude or light pink polish (I love this pink shade.)
–round gold nail studs
–wax picker pencil
–clear topcoat
–nail glue
-thin paintbrush or wooden skewer

Gold Stud Manicure DIY (click through for tutorial) First, shape, buff, and polish your nails until you have the shape you like. Apply several coats of nude or light pink polish with adequate dry time between each coat.

Gold Stud Manicure DIY (click through for tutorial) Squeeze a small amount of nail glue onto a scrap piece of paper and dip the end of a paintbrush or wooden skewer into the glue. Dab a small drop of the glue centered near the bottom edge of your nail about 1/4″ from your cuticle. You want enough glue that the stud will catch onto it and stick, but not so much that it squirts out all over your nail once you add the stud on top.

Gold Stud Manicure DIY (click through for tutorial) Gold Stud Manicure DIY (click through for tutorial) Use your wax pencil to pick up a nail stud (face side up) and place it gently on top of the glue. Press down with the pencil lightly once you have the stud in place and allow the glue to dry.

Gold Stud Manicure DIY (click through for tutorial) Repeat the process with each nail until you have studs on each nail (I found that unless your glue dries really fast, you can usually dot two nails with the glue in one turn). Once the glue is set, apply two generous coats of sealer with dry time between each coat, and admire your new manicure!

The gold stud is such a simple addition, but it feels so special and posh with a little added bling. This is also a design that’s relatively easy to do when using your less dominant hand since you can move the stud around a bit if it’s not exact when you put it in place. All in all, it’s an easy add if you want to take a simple manicure to the next level, and it’s a perfect look for upcoming holiday parties as well. Bring on the bling! xo. Laura

Rose Gold Hair for Spring 2020

Rose gold hair is a major trend this spring, and we are absolutely in love. Why? Because believe it or not, rose gold hair is universally flattering. No matter what your hair texture or skin tone, rose gold lends an ethereal glow that’s perfect for spring. And since the pink tone is muted, it’s also an excellent way to try brightly colored hair while still looking office-appropriate. Ready to try rose gold hair? Keep reading for our favorite rose gold hair ideas of spring 2020!

5 Ways to Try the Rose Gold Hair Trend

  1. Rose Gold Hair Highlights

Woman with rose gold hair and pink ends smiling Viviscal blog

If you want to experiment with rose gold hair but don’t want to commit to a full dye job, try these rose gold hair highlights. We love how these pink highlights add a little oomph to beachy blonde waves.

2. Dark Rose Gold Pink Hair

Who says blondes have more fun? You don’t need blonde hair to pull off rose gold hair. Brunettes can also try the rose gold hair trend by using a temporary pink dye on their locks. This temporary dye will lend hair a rose gold hue, perfect for spring.

3. Rose Gold Ombre Hair

Another low-commitment way to dip your toes into the rose gold hair trend: rose gold ombre hair. By lightening only the ends of your hair, your hairstylist can add in a muted pink shade without damaging all of your lengths. This is perfect for anyone who has hair that’s already prone to damage, like those with fine or thin hair.

4. Rose Gold Blonde

Woman with rose gold hair tied back viviscal blog

If you have blonde hair, you don’t necessarily need to darken your locks to try rose gold hair. Since your hair is already light, applying rose gold toner throughout your hair will easily give you a pink hue.

Make sure to test the toner on a strand before applying rose gold toner to your whole head, however. If your test strand turns out too dark, you can dilute the toner with conditioner until you get your desired result.

5. Copper Rose Gold Hair

Copper rose gold hair is another twist on the rose gold hair trend. If you have strawberry blonde or ginger hair, using a pink toner will give your hair a rose gold hue.

How to Maintain Rose Gold Hair

As with all colored hair, rose gold hair requires a little extra TLC. To keep your rose gold hair healthy, follow these tips:

Adjust Your Cleansing Routine

To keep your rose gold hair from fading quickly, try to minimize hair washing as much as possible. If possible, wash your hair no more than 3 to 4 times per week. When you do wash your hair, always use gentle products like Viviscal Gorgeous Growth Densifying Shampoo & Conditioner. This duo is formulated to gently cleanse and lightly condition hair, leaving it looking naturally thicker and fuller.

Embrace Heat-Free Styling

Heat can also make hair color fade more quickly, so try to avoid heat styling whenever possible. Instead, embrace your natural hair texture or try heat-free curling techniques. When you do decide to use hot tools, make sure to apply a heat protectant spray to diminish fading.

Nourish from the Inside

If you like to experiment and change your hair color often, make sure you take your vitamins! Dyeing your hair frequently can leave it damaged and dry. But if you start with healthier hair, you’re less likely to experience seriously damaged locks.

So how do you get healthier hair? Viviscal! Viviscal Hair Growth Supplements promotes healthy hair growth from the inside with a hair-loving combination of Biotin, Zinc, Vitamin C, and other nutrients. While Viviscal can’t undo major hair mistakes (like bleaching your hair at home), it can help you to maintain healthy-looking hair.*

So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!) Simple, yet pretty are the types of manicures that I tend to gravitate towards the most. I saw a pic of someone with unpolished nails and teeny tiny gold star decorations and thought it was such a simple yet elegant way to add a little bling to your normal nail routine. Really easy and really pretty? Where do I sign up!?

So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!)Supplies:
–gold star confetti
–wax pencil
-clear topcoat (I love this 8-free topcoat!)

So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!) Start with clean nails that have been trimmed and shaped to your liking (this is a great all-purpose manicure set to have around).

So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!) Spread out a few of your star confetti so they are easy to get to. Put a moderately thick coat of clear polish on one finger.

So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!) Quickly use your wax pencil to pick up stars one at a time and place them on the wet polish. Keep placing stars until you like the overall pattern. You may need to sharpen your wax pencil first to have a finer point to pick up the small stars more easily.

So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!) Repeat the process with each nail until all your nails have stars. Allow the clear coat to totally dry, and then use two more coats of polish overtop to seal in the design with dry time between each coat. Once your nails are dry, add a coat of cuticle oil (I love this one) to keep your nails healthy, and you’re ready to hit the town!

So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!) So pretty! Gold star manicure DIY (click through for more!) So pretty! This would be really cute for an event (or even a summer festival nail idea), and as you can see, it’s really easy to do. You can also paint your nails a color first if you want a bolder look, but I do think there’s something about the stars on nude nails that gives it a really clean look. The thinner the confetti, the lower profile your mani will have and the longer it will last as well, so if you find a different confetti you want to use, just keep that in mind. Have fun! xo. Laura

Gold hair clips have proven to be just as trendy on the red carpet as they are in your bathroom mirror selfie. So if you’re looking to add something new to your collection this year, might we suggest a few cute gold hair clips and accessories?

One of the main reasons these gold hair clips have such a grip on us is because of how versatile they are—from acrylic, to gold leaf hair clips, rose gold and more, the options for you to choose from are plenty! Scroll on to see all the stunning options you can choose from!

1. Gold leaf hair clips

2. Rose gold hair clips

For times you want to add an extra pep in your step, these rose-pink tinted gold clips are here to help. However, be mindful of how you pair these rose gold clips with other accessories. We suggest sticking to silver tones and white pearls to create a complete look, otherwise rose gold could end up clashing with your other accessories.

3. Geometric gold hair clips: Stars, squares and more

While these do have a true-blue 2012 Tumblr aesthetic, we can’t deny just how stylish they look even in 2021. Perfect for bad hair days where all you want to do is douse your hair with dry shampoo—these minimalistic geometric hair clips come in handy to create the effortless hairstyle of your dreams.

4. Minimalist gold hair clips: Small clips for thinner hair

A lot of ladies with thin hair shy away from wearing hair clips because it can sometimes expose their scalp more than necessary and make their overall ‘do to look limp. Moreover, some clips can even cause damage while taking off. We suggest wearing hair clips with a slimmer design that don’t pull or tug on your roots. Opt for gold hair clips that are thinner, or smaller in size to complement your hair texture and volume.

5. Gold chain hair clips

Gold Hair Clips

The chain design has become widely popular thanks to a ton of fine jewellery brands, and we love how it has also been translated into a hair accessory in a sophisticated way. Gold chain hair clips are your ticket to a stylish hair look in seconds. It makes for a perfect addition to a sleek low bun or side part.

Claw clips are functional, stylish accessories that make us fall more in love with hairstyling. And you know it only gets better when there is a 2021 adaptation of it. They can be styled with anything from a slip dress to a structured black blazer and even a cozy sweater.

10. Gold bobby pins

Bobby pins are an essential for anyone with long hair. But before that 50 piece pack you just purchased magically disappears little by little, use them to create stylish looks for days. Whether you have access to three or thirty-three, gold bobby pins are a functional, versatile accessory that can help you style it up in various ways.

Now that we’ve got the memo on the trendiest gold hair clips on the block, let’s get down to styling. There are a plethora of ways you can wear your gold hair accessories, but here a few of popular, trendy styles that we’re seeing everywhere.

1. Gold Clips with braids

Big voluminous braids never go out of style, top this off with a set of trendy gold hair clips and you’ve got yourself a winning combination. A great way to achieve this look is to clip in your hair extensions for that va-va-voom volume we all know and love. Add in your gold hair clips in a random manner or alternate between braids to create a look you’ll love for days.

2. Classy wedding low bun

If you’re a lockdown  bride, we understand the struggle you have to go through! This is the most special day of your life and everything from your hair, to your dress should reflect that. Pretty gold or pearl hair clips can elevate any wedding updo in minutes. So don’t hold back on the accessories. It’s the simplest way you can wear your hair pretty.

Don’t forget to add a set of hair extensions that can serve you for everything from engagement photos, save-the-dates down to the big day!

3. Half Up-Half down

The half-up half-down hairstyle has been a cult favorite for years now, but we love how new trends and accessories can refresh this classic hairdo pretty smoothly. To get this look, stack up your favorite clips vertically-you don’t need to be a hairstyle expert to achieve this look. Section your hair at the crown, twist and secure with bobby pins to anchor the section and then add your favorite gold clips to accessorize. We love how modernly this is styled, but you can also go for a more contemporary feel and add the clips in a random manner.

4. Ponytails for days

Ponytails could easily be christened the official hairstyle of quarantine. From a messy, unkempt one to a sleek, ponytail that Ariana Grande herself would be proud of, you can rest assured that this versatile hairdo will help you style a myriad of gold hair clips in nifty ways.
