Nothing adds glittery elegance to an up-do like the perfect hair accessory. Follow this step-by-step how-to as Viviscal ambassador and session stylist Neil Moodie demonstrates how to create the perfect up-do with your favorite hair accessory.

Throughout August, we’ve shared four of Neil Moodie’s top hair looks, showing you how to achieve these on-trend styles quickly and easily. This on-trend up-do with a hair accessory is the fourth and final of the looks, which included beach waves, the messy side braid, and a chic voluminous ponytail. To style these looks, Neil used the Viviscal Gorgeous Growth Densifying hair care line featuring Shampoo, Conditioner and body-boosting Elixir.

Step-by-Step How-to:

  1. Prepare the hair with Viviscal Densifying Elixir to add texture and volume. Rough-dry hair with hairdryer.
  2. Pull hair into a ponytail using fingers and twist upwards. With a U pin, secure the hair at the twist.
  3. Create a knot shape and secure with more pins. Loosen the knot to add texture.
  4. Create whichever shape you like and keep playing with it until you have the desired effect. Add the hair accessory of your choice.

As seen at Fashion Week: “The humble Alice band was brought back with a twist in the 2016 shows, with designers such as Dolce & Gabbana option for gorgeous decorated gold headpieces.”   – Neil Moodie
